From now on, people will be able to change the name and gender on their ID without needing psychiatric permission or any body modifications. Furthermore, anyone who does want hormones or surgery will be able to access them for free through the public and private health system. It was passed unanimously today by the Senate UNANIMOUSLY Argentina is just getting more awesome by the year. Countries that aren’t Argentina need to take note. sigh. y so behind, US?

Oh my…

So, a casual aquaintance (friend of a close friend) found out aside from the general long haired hippy/gearhead/mad scientist thing I got going that I know computer stuff specifically web dev and programming.  They want me to help them start a porn site with a generally cis/straight/male focus.  I’m so glad it was over IM because I think face to face I’d have totally given them the wrong impression by laughing my head off for 5 minutes straight.  Which would not be a good confidence builder for someone I stand the chance to make a decent fee off of if I pull it together and they pay me a fair price for the work like they’ve promised…

One step forward and two back…

Good news,  I put in the new windshield wiper motor in the car, now I have more functions than Off and Warp Speed.  Also, found what was loose and rattling like a maraca whenever the car was at idle, turns out it was the AC hose manifold that attaches to the no longer there (because the bearings were shot) AC compressor.  I got that tied up out of the way.  Bad news is I slipped with the tool I was using to loosen the wipers and cracked the windshield.  Go figure…

I forget where I read it, but it was a parenting magazine, but if you stop all electronics an hour before you go to bed it’s supposed to help you sleep better.


I need to do that because I’m seriously developing some mild insomnia. I don’t want to take sleeping pills if I can help it.

Yeah I saw that too in psychology video I did subtitles on at work. It’s actually specifically about LCD type screens found on most modern devices and newer TVs. It’s something to do with the light and how it messes with your ability to achieve REM sleep. But older TVs don’t do it and e-readers like basic kindles with e-ink don’t. (Fires do, iPads do.)
